Unplugging the reciever solves the problem. If I have the little USB wireless reciever plugged into my laptop, the cable shows as unable to start in Device Manager. Wireless logitech headsets at least cause an issue with the cable.

This is really annoying. I bought rocksmith today with the real-tone adapter cable. Anyway to download an older version of this driver or run it in a compatibility mode? Have also heard it may do with the cable trying to use a generic driver that is from an older version of Windows. I have heard one or two have success with a USB A to C adapter? I might try that but would be pretty frustrated then if that doesn't work and I then would be needing to return two items. I will be returning this if I cannot get it to work but am incredibly disappointed if that is the case. This seems to be an error to that happens to others in other forums I've read and it almost appears as though this has never been solved for those that it occurs to. Plugged in all 11 usb ports to different naming results mentioned above (Not consistent by port) Changed primary sound settings to DVD level, etc. Unplugged and uninstalled other audio drivers when installing the Real Tone Cable Changed USB power settings to not limit power to ports Checked BIOS to ensure USB settings are not at fault Ensured microphone is not limited in privacy settings Regardless of the name however, there is a yellow and black exclamation point that says a Code 10 error has ocurred. Every time I uninstall the driver and re-plug the cable in another slot I get either ocksmit, USB Audio Drive, or the proper Rocksmith USB Cable name.
The realtone cable will not even be recognizable in the "recording" devices settings on my Windows 10. I just cannot get the driver to properly install for the cable and as such will not get any sound out into the game.
I have the cable from when I played the game on the PS3 back in the day.
